13 October 2005: At the Commercial Section of the US Embassy in Bucharest, FRD Center management team meets Ms. Cynthia Biggs, US Commercial Attache. On this occasion we made a presentation of the FRD Center services for Commercial Sections and for US exporters and investors in Romania and we presented our track record of business activities. Also, potential opportunities of collaboration were investigated by the two parties, as well as the opportunity of FRD Center becoming one of the consulting services in the US Trade d-base.
4 October 2005: FRD Center management team meets Mr. Arshad, Third Secretary of the Pakistani Embassy in Romania and presents its portfolio of services for Commercial Sections. As a consequence, FRD Center was invited to put forward a formal proposal of services for the Pakistani Embassy in Bucharest.

21 September 2005: FRD Center welcomes its new partner: FENEC Trade – a Spanish based trade oriented consulting company headquartered in Madrid. FENEC Trade’s goal is to provide the partners with new trade opportunities and commerce solutions covering all ranges of export and import activities. Besides, FENEC Trade offers consulting services for international business initiation, development, and expansion and supports its customers to locate and acquire goods and services in external markets. 31 August 2005: FRD Center’s research team finalises a survey of the banking sector in Romania featuring 30 major players in this sector. The survey was ordered by Enterprise Ireland, the Irish state development agency focused on accelerating the development of world-class Irish companies.
31 August 2005: FRD Center is officially invited by The United States Department of Agriculture/Foreign Agricultural Service to participate in a tender exercise for a major trade and investment project.
18 July 2005: FRD Center is proud to announce its formal partnership with EIC Opole from Poland. By supporting entrepreneurship in Opole region (Poland), Euro Info Centre Opole takes part in projects together with organisations supporting business located throughout the whole Europe, as well as, actively cooperates with local government and participates in events concerning economic life of the region.
4 July 2005: FRD Center welcomes its first associate partner company: B & L Consultanta. Through this partnership, FRD Center is now able to offer business development services to foreign companies interested to enter the Romanian market. Some of these services are: organizational audit, organizational design and restructuring, business process improvement, management training and coaching.
1 July 2005: FRD Center is invited by EVD, the Dutch Agency for International Business and Cooperation, part of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, to participate in a tender exercise for a major project in Romania. EVD is the organisation that promotes the international presence of Dutch companies in foreign markets.
17 June – 31 July 2005: FRD Center manages the follow-up for the “Ireland – Romania Business Day” trade event. During this period, FRD Center follows-up on Romanian potential clients and buyers, prepares the business itinerary and offers market support to representatives of one Irish company active in the telecom sector pusuing a trade lead initiated during the TM.

14-16 June 2005: FRD Center organises for its Irish client, Enterprise Ireland, “Ireland – Romania Business Day”, a trade event culminating with a Ministerial Trade Dinner with over 60 attendees. Minister Michael Ahern, TD, the Irish Minister for Trade and Commerce, accompanied to Romania a delegation of Irish business people. For two days, the Irish representatives participated in business meetings, presentations and seminars, and also visited Romanian potential business partners. The Irish trade event was considered very successful, both by the official delegation and by the individual clients.

18 March 2005: FRD Center participated at Romenvirotec, Romania’s international exhibition displaying equipment and technologies for environment protection. This year, Romenvirotec has gathered an elite group of the world manufactures of such products, international consultants and regional development organisations. FRD Center recognises that one of the major problems in the Central Eastern European countries is the lack of efficient land management, which has enormous negative economical, ecological and social impacts. Also, defficient waster water management is seriously hampering the development of animal farms, which are now in the position to use poorly filtered water, thus endangering the competitivity of their products.
16 March 2005: We welcome Mr David Butler, newly appointed Director for Romania of Enterprise Ireland, the government agency responsible for the development of Irish industry. Enterprise Ireland has three strategic priorities: Technology innovation, Business development and Internationalisation, aiming to bridge the gap between innovation and internationalisation. 27 January 2005: FRD Center participated at the official launch of the El Car Igero – an innovative prototype bus designed and produced in Romania. The newly launched bus aimes to raise standards of interurban and urban public transport. FRD Center and it partner, The Romanian Design Foundation, promote and support innovation and quality design in Romania.
