Our most recent Client for the New Suppliers Search and Selection services is a global lifestyle brand with a mission to create the essential tools for a lifetime of travel, part of a major luxury Group.
This Client hired the FRD Center New Suppliers Search and Selection services in Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Serbia. Our structured procedure and detailed approach to the Decision Makers in the selected local targets, enabled the Client to have access to relevant players in the four markets.
The focus was the textile and garments manufacturing sector.
The activities performed by the FRD Center and local partners in the initial stage of local target-companies identification mainly consisted of:
a) detailed scan and analysis of the respective markets for identifying potential target companies, according to the criteria and profile provided by the Client
b) prepared a longlist per country of selected companies and collected data of the target companies matching the given profile and selection criteria

Here are some examples of companies identified and selected by FRD Center and the local partners coordinated by FRD Center in the first stage:
1 – Okitex in North Macedonia
The company is a Subcontractor in the production of high-quality women’s wear and sporty men’s wear. In the garments manufacturing process, they use Cutter Gerber GTXL INVISION SYSTEM, Plotter Gerber Infinity 45, LP, Stencil cutter ignition, Fast sewing Pfaff, Dürkopp, Typical and Brother, Sleeve sewing machines Pfaff and Juki. In 2022, their turnover reached 5.7 mEUR. They have Gerber CAD software and conversion program.
2 – S.T.I. INTERNATIONAL SRL in Romania
The company produces mainly leather products (eg. Luxury bags) in contract manufacturing. Their capabilities include technical stitching (PPE). They are also a manufacturer of luxury leather goods, technical, waterproof and inflatable products. In 2021, their turnover reached 6.1 mEUR and they had approx 490 employees. The company also uses technology for textile (e.g. SUTEAU ANVER, textile cuting press). PD software system for control and permanent analyse of production. ISO 9001. Production equipment include Brother and Mitsubishi automatic sewers.
3 – FUSH in Serbia
The company is specialised in manufacture of “On Demand Clothing” such as Custom T-Shirts, Custom Activewear, Custom Hoodies, Custom Streetwear, Marathon Wear, OEM Clothing, CMT Manufacturing, FPP Manufacturing, Sublimation Clothing. They also produce fabrics. According to the FRD Center local partner’s analysis, in the production process they use machines like multilayers knife cutting machines such as Orox Flexo Sirius C800 Conveyor Cutting Machine and Orox iCut Conveyor Cutting Machine. They also use Siruba and Juki Sewing Machines. Their turnover in 2021 was of 3.4 mEUR.
4 – Piros in Bulgaria
The company is a leading women’s and men’s wear clothing manufacturer in Bulgaria which offers a complex service of ready made garments manufacturing which includes the selection of fabrics and materials. In their production process they use laser cutting machines for fabric and leather, multilayers knife cutting machines, semi-automatic stitching / sewing machines, tapes application machines, transfer label application machines etc. In 2021, their turnover was of 3.8 mEUR and they had approx 150 employees. Some of their Clients include IKKS, Maerz, Zimmerli, River Woods, SET.
